I recently just finished half of my logbook hours with Margaret, which was a very pleasant experience, and I found Paula's review might be very misleading for people who are looking for driving instructors. Margaret is super nice and easy-going and you definitely would feel very safe when driving with her, as she has dual controls and could help you brake. In fact, I do think her help with braking and turning actually helps build my road confidence, because I can get the feel of the car and could correct my own turning later. I think the communication with your instructors is always the key: let them know your needs and what you want to focus on in your sessions.

You can always have a good chat with Margaret while driving and she's very open-minded and loves getting to know different people and cultures. And Sally is the sweetest dog, who snoozes a lot and is very calm and doesn't really bark a lot. I would recommend Margaret to anyone who needs a professional driving instructor in this area. Plus she has very competitive rates, and would accommodate your schedules. If you're still not sure, maybe book a few sessions with her to start with and I'm sure once you get to know her, this will become a very enjoyable journey for you. :)

Margaret is a professional, experienced and caring driving instructor. I have had numerous driving instructors in the past, and she is by far the best I have had.

First, as a mature aged learner driver, I was very nervous getting behind the wheel. She instantly made me feel safe (as she had dual controls), and she stayed calm even when I made a mistake.

Second, she helped me end all my bad habits (e.g. I was turning too late and had bad hand placement on the wheel).

Third, I passed my driving test first go, which is a a testament to her ability as a driving instructor.

Also, Sally (her dog) is a sweetheart. I was not at all shocked that there was a dog in the back of her car, sleeping quietly and soundly. After all, Sally is mentioned in the name of her driving school, and there are pictures of her on their website.



Finally, my advice to any learner driver is to be opened minded with your instructor. Even after you pass your test,  you will always keep learning. I am two years post my driving test and I have been back to Margaret to learn manual.

First off this is something I didn’t think I’d ever be able to do have always had a fear of driving I went through about 4 different driving instructors over the years giving up and then starting the process again

before finally coming across Margaret

she is just brilliant and, to be honest, If wasn’t for her giving up was  on the cards but she stayed with me through my struggles and generally cares about her students I can’t thank her enough and we had some ups and downs  but got there in the end and I can now call Margaret and her beloved dog Freddie friends for life
